JEE Main 2026 Notification – Apply Online for January Session

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official notification for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026 – January Session. This national-level entrance exam is conducted for admission into B.E, B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Planning programs offered by NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded institutions across India. Online applications are now open at jeemain.nta.ac.in.

Important Dates for the JEE Main January 2026 Exam

– Application Start Date: November 2, 2025

– Last Date to Apply Online: November 27, 2025

– Last Date for Fee Payment: November 27, 2025

– Exam Dates: January 21 to January 30, 2026

– Exam Sessions: Morning (9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon) and Afternoon (3:00 PM to 6:00 PM)

Who Can Apply for JEE Main 2026

– Candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent in 2024 or 2025, or are appearing in 2026, are eligible.

– There is no age restriction for appearing in JEE Main 2026.

– Candidates must have studied Physics, Mathematics, and one subject from Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject in Class 12.

Exam Pattern and Languages

– Mode of Exam: Computer-Based Test (CBT).

– Papers: Paper 1 (B.E/B.Tech), Paper 2A (B.Arch), Paper 2B (B.Planning).

– The exam will be conducted in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, and Telugu. The question paper will be provided in English and the regional language selected by the candidate.

– The application fee varies based on category and gender.

– Payment can be made through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

– The test will be held in 13 regional languages including Telugu, English, and Hindi.
