Eligibility for SSC Stenographer (Grade C & Grade D) Recruitment:

Education Qualification for SSC Group C Steno Vacancies:

Candidates must have qualified 10+2/intermediate/12th standard or equivalent from a recognized Board/University. Should Shot hand Skills on Hindi or English computer.

Pay Scale:

Monthly salary for Stenographer Jobs is Rs.25000-81000/-

Age Limit for SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2025:

Age limits as on 01-08-2025 is 18-27 years for this SSC Steno Grade D Jobs.

For Steno Group C Posts age limits are 18-30 years.

Age Relaxations are applicable for reserved categories as per given below:

For SC & ST Category Candidates: 5 years

For OBC-NCL Category Candidates: 3 years

For Ex-Servicemen Category Candidates: 3 years

Application fee for SSC Stenographer Exam 2025:

For General and OBC candidates Rs.100/- and for reserved categories no examination fee.

Selection Process for SSC Stenographer Grade C, Grade D Vacancy 2025:

Selection for this SSC Stenographer recruitment will be done on basis of written test and skill test.

Minimum qualifying marks in CBT for Stenographer Jobs :

(i) UR: 30% 

(ii) OBC/EWS: 25% 

(iii) All Other Categories: 20%

Exam Syllabus and Pattern for SSC Steno Grade C & Grade D Jobs:

Written test will be conducted for 200 marks with 2 hours of duration. Total 200 questions will be given. Each question carries one mark and for each wrong answer 0.25 negative marks will be deducted.

SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2025:

1. General Intelligence & Reasoning 50 Marks (50 questions)
2. General Awareness 50 Marks (50 questions)
3. English Language and Comprehension 100 Marks (100 questions)

Skill Test Pattern for SSC Stenographer Hindi/English Group C & D Jobs:

Candidates who are qualified written exam they have to attend the Skill Test.

The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English / Hindi at the speed of 100 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade C and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade D. The matter will have to be transcribed on compute. The transcription time is as follows:-

For Stenographer Grade D Jobs: 50 minutes (English) 65 minutes (Hindi)

For Stenographer Grade C Jobs: 40 minutes (English) 55 Minutes (Hindi)
