Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the AP Universities Assistant Professor Recruitment 2023, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Age Limit: The candidate must be between 21 and 40 years of age. Age relaxation will be applicable as per government norms for reserved categories.
2. Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university. Additionally, candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or the State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) accredited by the UGC.

10% weightage for Adhoc /contract employees.

Submission of a hard copy of the application with enclosures:

Online applications will be summarily rejected if the hard copy of it is not received with all the supporting documents evidencing the entries in the application. The candidate has to take a print-out of the filled-in application and enclose all the self-attested supporting documents and send through registered post/speed post/courier to the following address on or before 27.11.2023 after appending the applicant’s signature. Applications without the signature of the candidate and incomplete forms ‘will not be considered’.

Selection Process

The selection process for the AP Universities Assistant Professor Recruitment 2023 will consist of the following stages:

1. Screening Test- Only for Assistant Professor
2. Interview

In the screening test, 40 percentage marks should be obtained for OBC and OBC candidates and 35 percentage for SC/ST candidates. There will be weightage to academic qualifications along with the exam. There is a possibility of calling four people for the oral exams for each post.

• Weightage will be given to the marks obtained in graduation, post graduation and MPhil in academics. There will be additional weightage to NET, SLET and NET with PhD and JRF.
• There will be a total weightage of 80 marks for screening test – 10 for academic, 10 for research or teaching experience. Candidates will be selected for the oral exam by combining the academic marks along with the screening test marks.
• The oral test will be conducted for 100 marks. The oral test conducted after four people are called for each post will decide the fate of the candidates. This is going to be crucial as more marks have been allotted for the oral exam.

Exam Syllabus Pattern for AP Universities Assistant Professor Jobs:

For Assistant Professor Jobs only Screening test will be conducted.

The screening/written test will be Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and the duration of test is 180 minutes on the concerned subject. 

Each question carries 3 marks and there shall be 1 negative mark for a wrong answer.
