Headmaster/Headmistress Jobs Recruitment Exam Qualifications:
Headmaster/Headmistress-Candidate must have qualified Masters Degree minimum second class or its equivalent qualification along with B.Ed and at least 10 years of teaching experience is required. And should be able teach in Bengali or English or Hindi or Nepali or Oriya or Santhali or Telegu or Urdu
Age Limit for Exam of WBSSC Headmaster/Headmistress:
Candidates upper age limit is 55 years as on 01-01-2017
Selection Process for of (Headmaster/Headmistress) WBSSC Recruitment Exam:
Selection will be through State Level Selection Test SLST only. Duration of Test is One hour. Selection to the Posts Head Master and Head Mistress will be held on the basis of written examination, evaluation of academic qualifications and personality tests.
(a) Written Examination : 60 marks
(b) Academic qualifications including professional qualifications : 28 marks
(c) Teaching Experience : 05 marks (10-12 years Exp-3 Marks, above 12 Years 05 Marks)

Educational Qualifications for Assistant Teachers of Physical/Work Education Recruitment Exam:
Assistant Teacher for Physical Education-Senior Secondary Class 12th/+2 qualification with at least 50% marks (which approved by NCTE) and Certificate/ Diploma in Physical Education or 2 years ( or its equivalent) from any NCTE recognized Institution.
Assistant Teacher for Work Education-Graduation with PG/Diploma in Work Education/Art and Craft/Tailoring and Needlework/Home Science/Computer Science/Information Technology/Agriculture.
Age Limit for Assistant Teachers Exam of WBSSC Physical/Work Education:
Candidates minimum age limit is 20 years to 40 years. 5 years relaxation is there for SC/ ST candidates, 3 Years for OBC, 8 years for PH candidates.
Selection Process for Assistant Teachers of (Work/Physical Education) WBSSC Recruitment Exam:
It will be through State Level Selection Test SLST only. Duration of Test is One hour. Language of question paper is Bengali and English only except for language papers.
Selection to the Posts of Assistant Teachers in Upper Primary Level Classes of schools for Physical Education & Work Education teachers will be held on the basis of written examination, evaluation of academic qualifications and personality tests.
