Qualifications Required for Odisha OSSC Junior Stenographer Recruitment 2017:
Candidate must have passed HSC (+2 Arts/ Science/ Commerce) certificate examination or its equivalent school examination or M.E School Examination/ Class VII final Examination with odia as language subject from recognized board or council.
Possess minimum speed of 80 WPM in Shorthand both in English and Odia.

Applicant should have minimum age limit of 18 years and maximum age limit is 32 years as on 01 January 2016. Upper Age Relaxation for Candidates belonging to SC, ST, SEBC and Woman category is 05 years and 10 years for PWD & Ex- Serviceman.
Application fee/ Examination fee of OSSC Junior Stenographer Vacancies 2017:
Application fee for UR and SEBC candidates is Rs. 100/- either online or offline mode through treasury portal or by conventional mode. SC, ST, PWD category applicants are exempted of fee payment.
Selection Process for Odisha OSSC Junior Stenographer Recruitment:
Odisha selection Commission will conduct Language Test and Shorthand Test both in English and Odia to hire the candidates for Jr. Stenographer vacancies. Merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in Language Test, Shorthand test in English and Odia.
a. Language Test:

b. Shorthand Test in English:
Qualifying marks- 33%, Negative marking will be there.

Transcription (On Computer) | 16 WPM in 25 minutes | 50 marks |
c. Shorthand Test in Odia:
There is no Qualifying Marks. Transcription will be done by using ‘Leap Office’ software.

Transcription (On Computer) | 16 WPM in 35 minutes | 50 marks |
Online Exam Application procedure for OSSC Junior Stenographer Recruitment 2017:
Interested candidates can apply online through OSSC Odisha Staff Selection Commission’s website www.ossc.gov.in. Candidate need to complete registration process first and then start filling personal, additional, Qualification details, Document upload and Payment details. Applicants have to take two printed copies, one is OSSC copy and other one is applicant’s copy. Send the OSSC copy with required documents to the given address before 11 February 2017 (05.00 PM) through registered or speed post. Candidates keep the applicant’s copy having User name and Password for future use. Last date for online registration is 26 January 2017.
