Age limits for ARO Varanasi Army Recruitment Rally Soldiers GD, Clerk, Technical Posts
Candidates applying to Soldier General Duty Post must be born between 1st October 1998 and 1st April 2004. For other Soldier Posts, an applicant’s age must be between 171/2 and 23 years. And for Sepoy Pharma, maximum age is 25 years and minimum is 19 years.
For Soldier GD 17 1/2 and 21 years.
Educational Qualifications for ARO Varanasi Army Soldiers GD, Clerk, Technical Recruitment
Candidates interested to serve Indian Army as Soldier must possess the following qualifications:
Soldier General Duty: Passed 10th class with at least 55 % marks as aggregate.
Soldier Technical: Passed 12th class with Science Stream (Physics, Chemistry & Maths), having secured 50% marks as aggregate.
Soldier Store Keeper/Technical: Passed 12th class in any stream (Science, Commerce, Arts) with 50% marks in each subject.
Soldier Aviation & Ammunition Examiner: Passed 12th with Science Stream.
Soldier Tradesman: Passed 10th class/ITI Diploma
Soldier Nursing Assistant Veterinary: Passed 12th class with Science stream (Physics, Chemistry & Biology)
Sepoy Pharma:Passed 12th in Science stream and secured B.Pharma with 55% marks in aggregate.
Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be appointed on a proposed salary Rs.20,200/-

Selection Process for ARO Varanasi Army Recruitment Soldiers GD, Clerk, Technical Jobs
Applicants who have successfully applied within the stipulated time will be assessed on the basis of following parameters:
1. Physical Standards:

2. Physical Fitness Test: It will involve following activities:
i) Running Test : 1.6 Km within 5 Mins 45 secs
ii) Pull ups: Between 6 to 10
iii) 9 Feet Ditch
iv) Zig-Zag Balance
3. Medical Examination
Candidates qualifying both the Physical Standards and PFT will be subjected to Medical Examination.
4. Written Test (Common Entrance Exam )
Written Test will consist of Objective Type questions based on syllabus as per the education standards prescribed for the post.
