The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) has announced that the Telangana Group-1 Preliminary Examination will be conducted on June 11. The Commission has made it clear that this examination will be conducted completely offline and in OMR mode. It is known that TSPSC has given a notification for the filling of 503 Group-1 posts on April 26 last year. While a total of 3,80,081 candidates applied, 2,85,916 wrote the preliminary exam held on October 16 of the same year. 25,050 of them were selected for Mains. However, TSPSC has canceled group-1 prelims along with some other exams after the issue of question paper leakage came to light.
TSPSC Group-1 Prelims Exam is OMR Based:
Later, the commission announced new dates and announced that everyone who had applied earlier will be given a chance to retake the exam. At present only less than 25 thousand candidates are allowed to write the online (computer based) exam. In this order, if there are candidates within 25 thousand to 50 thousand, the examination is completed in two sessions and the marks are calculated by normalization method. If there are more than one lakh candidates, TSPSC officials have decided to conduct the exam in OMR mode. In this background, TSPSC has decided to conduct this exam in the OMR method while 2 lakh 80 thousand people will appear for the Group-1 prelims exam.
TSPSC Group 1 Prelims Exam Date 2022: The Telangana group-1 prelims exam date has been finalized. TSPSC has decided to conduct the prelims exam on 11-06-2023. There was a huge demand for the announcement of Telangana state first Group-I Posts. The unemployed and job seekers have applied in a record number as they are likely to become IAS and IPS officers in the future if they get the posts of Deputy Collector and DSP. As of the closing date 04-06-2022, more than 3,80,200 candidates had applied for a total of 503 posts. On an average, 756 candidates are contesting for each post. TSPSC has said that the Group-I Mains exam is likely to be conducted in November/December 2023.
TSPSC Group-1 Exam -225 posts are for women.
Out of the total 503 posts in group-1 notification, 225 are reserved for women. A total of 1,51,192 candidates have applied for these posts and an average of 672 are competing for each post. If you get merit in general quota posts, you can get more posts. A total of 6,105 candidates have applied for 24 posts in the divyang (PWD) category.
There are 254 candidates in the fray for each post. As many as 51,553 (15.33 per cent) government employees have also applied.
