IBPS PO Recruitment Exam Syllabus for Prelims and Mains Exam CWE PO/MT VI 2017:
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection will conduct common written exam for probationary officer's every year. IBPS Probationary officers exam pattern has been changed.
IBPS Probationary officers exam syllabus is not changed. From the year 2015 on wards IBPS introduced 3 tier pattern for Probationary Officers exam. Previous IBPS Probationary Officers exam 2014 conducted for 200 marks. From 2015 on wards Written exam is conducting for 300 marks in two stages. In first stage there is a 100 marks multiple choice questions exam which is called as Preliminary Examination. Second stage is main exam. It will be conducted for 200 marks multiple choice questions. Those who are qualified for this IBPS PO/MT VII Preliminary examination they only called for IBPS PO/MT VII Main Examination. Third stage is a common interview for all which is conducted by participating organizations and nodal banks of states/union territories.
      Note: Each section has a specific time. Candidate have to finish that section in given time only

  6. IBPS PO Mains Result Date December-2017
  7. Interview Call Letter Available from January 2018 
  8. Interview will be held is Jan/Feb-2018

Pattern for IBPS Probationary Officers PO Preliminary Exam 2017:

IBPS Probationary Officers preliminary exam will be 100 Marks. English language for 30 marks, Numerical ability for 35 marks and Reasoning ability for 35 marks. Total time duration for this exam is one hour. Syllabus is same but difficulty level will be changed for Preliminary Examination.

Pattern for IBPS Probationary Officers PO Mains Examination:

Each section has a specific time. You have to finish that section in given time only
1. Reasoning  50 Questions - 50 marks - 40 minutes
2. Quantitative Aptitude 50 Questions - 50 marks - 40 minutes
3. General/Economy/Banking Awareness 40 Questions -  40 marks - 20 minutes
4. English Language 40 Questions - 40 marks - 30 minutes
5. Computer Knowledge 20 Question -20 Marks - 10 minutes

IBPS Probationary Officers main exam for 200 marks which consist of Reasoning for 40 marks, English Language for 40 marks, Quantitative Aptitude for 40 marks, general awareness with special reference to banking industry for 40 marks and computer knowledge for 20 marks with the total time of 140 Minutes.

1. IBPS Probationary Officers Exam syllabus Reasoning Ability:
Verbal Reasoning- Analogy, Mathematical Operations test, Series test, Alphabet test, Odd Man Out, Classification, Coding-Decoding, Syllogism, Causes and effects, Numbers, Ranking and time sequences, Blood Relations, Direction sense test, Analytic reasoning, Sitting arrangement, Statement and conclusions, Decision Making, input output, statement and assumptions, puzzles, statements and arguments, passage and conclusions, assertion and reasoning, Figure series, Word formation.

2. IBPS Probationary Officers Exam(Prelims/Mains) syllabus English Language:
Synonyms and antonyms, reconstruction of sentence & passage, one word substitution, double rank in sentence, Fill in the blanks, Clone test, Idioms and phrases, choosing the appropriate filler ,spotting the errors, phrase substitution, ordering of sentences or jumbled up sentences.

3. IBPS Probationary Officers Exam(Prelims/Mains) syllabus Numerical Ability:
Ratio & Proportions, Simple and compound interest, Time and work, Time and distance, Permutations and combinations, probability, Averages and ages, streams and boats, partnerships, HCM & LCM, Number series, Problems based on numbers, Approximation wrong number, decimal fractions, square root and cube root, Data Interpretation, Pie charts, Bar graphs, Line graphs, Mixed graphs.

4. IBPS Probationary Officers Exam(Prelims/Mains) syllabus General Awareness:
Banking terms, Banking finance, shares, various, schemes of government, books & their authors, agriculture, Current affairs for last 6 months. Current rates such as bank rate, repo rate, reverse repo rate, Abbreviations, full forms, Important days, Important dates, Currency and capital, Ministers and their departments , Indian Economy, International economy, Type of banks, GDP,  RBI, Fiscal-Monetary policy, social function banks, marketing awards & honors, sports, budget, International financial institutions.

5IBPS Probationary Officers Exam syllabus Computer Awareness: Basic computer knowledge, MS Office, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Computer Generations, Operating Systems, Number System, Software & Hardware questions (Database & communication), History of computers, Computer abbreviation, Basic knowledge of Internet & Networking etc.
